Emile Madeline

From Mapping the Practice and Profession of Sculpture in Britain and Ireland we learn that Emile Alfred Madeline was born in 1859, died in 1933 and was active between 1911 and 1921. However, he is listed in various directories in 1910 as a sculptor at Bloomfield Studios, 16 Bloomfield Terrace, Pimlico.

The 1911 census shows that he was born in Paris, France, was a sculptor living at 31 Great Chapel Street, Soho, Westminster, with his wife of 20 years, Marie Madeline (b.1869 in Paris, France) and that they had no children.

Directories dated between 1915 and 1925 list him as a sculptor at 70 & 72 High Street, Lambeth, London, SE1.
