Trooper Donald Albert Parsons.  He was born in 1921 in St Pancras, London, the son of William and Lucy Jane Parsons, née Paul. His father was a greengrocer. The family lived at 76 George Street, St Pancras until 1937 when they moved to 162 Gower Street, N.W.1. He was appointed as a Postman in the London Postal Region on 7 June 1939 and was confirmed in this position on 3 June 1940. He joined the Queens Bays (2nd Dragoon Guards) Royal Armoured Corps, Service Number 7943400 and died on 25 October 1942, aged 21 years. He is buried in the Collective Grave XVII.H.19 of the El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt.
