This 'Have-a-go' hero single-handed attempted to stop 'smash-and-grab' thieves at a jeweller's shop in Birchen Lane in the City and died from injuries received. Blitzwalkers gives the full story. You'll be glad to hear that the robbers were caught and "banged to rights". Would we have made it in tabloid journalism?
