Countries: USA

William Franklin Graham Jr. was an American evangelist and an ordained Southern Baptist minister who became well known internationally in the late 1940s. He was a prominent evangelical Christian figure.

His 1954 London Crusade ran for 12 weeks at Harringay Arena. In 1955, he was invited by Cambridge University students to lead the mission at the university. Also in 1955 he preached at Wembley Stadium; in 1966 he was in Earl's Court (where Cliff Richard made his first public commitment to Christianity during a rally) and in 1984 in Birmingham. His final British crusade was in 1989.
