Vernon 'Fellows' Williams

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, emigrated to London in the 1960s initially to to study dentistry in Leeds which he ceased after a year, choosing to perform across Europe instead.

For some years in the 1970s he helped his cousin Larry Forde with the costumes for the Notting Hill Carnival band, Sukuya. In 1980 Vernon together with some friends started the Genesis mas band.  His children, Symone Williams and Kevin Williams and their mother Alyson Williams continued to lead the band after Vernon's death.
