Plaque

Thornycroft

Inscription

Sir Hamo Thornycroft, RA, sculptor, 1850 - 1928, Boadicea and Oliver Cromwell (Embankment & Parliament Square), lived here from 1899.

Site: Williams, Mackmurdo and Thornycroft (3 memorials)

NW3, Redington Road, 16

Left to right: Mackmurdo, Williams, Thornycroft. All in a similar design so presumably erected by the same organisation - possibly a former resident who had researched the history of the house and was rightly impressed.

The plaques are some distance from the public road so, May 2022, we rang the bell to request access for our photographs and the resident kindly allowed us in. She mentioned that John Alderton lived there with his family at one time and had had  his own plaque, which they took with them when they left.
