Unveiled to mark the centenary of the restaurant, although the exact opening date is not known.

In our photo you can see the plaque immediately following the 'Y' of 'The Ivy'.

The restaurant was refurbished in 1990. It looks as if it was originally two buildings: the front built in the late 19th century and the back in the 1920s/30s. We cannot find any images of the building exterior from the early days. Can anyone help?
