Stephen Maynard - steel plaque

Erection date: 26/1/2010

Inscription

In memory of Leading Fireman Stephen Maynard, who tragically lost his life fighting a fire aboard the M. V. Rudi M, berthed in Limehouse Basin on 25 January 1980.

London Fire Brigade

Plaque erected on the 30th anniversary.

Site: Stephen Maynard, fireman + Limehouse basin model (3 memorials)

E14, Limehouse Dock quayside, Harbour Masters Office

This Harbour Masters Office has a rather nice 6-sided pagoda-like from. The model of the basin is on the mini-me brick pedestal. It doesn't have a roof - that is just an unfortunate photographic alignment of a porch on the other side of the water.

Surrey Commercial Docks has a similar model.
