Spa Green
This was the site of New Tunbridge Wells (or Islington Spa) Pleasure Gardens and Medicinal Well which flourished from about 1685 to 1840.
This plaque has large blank areas which the local artists do their best to decorate.

This plaque was lost sometime July 2021 - August 2022.
According to Wikipedia the State of Victoria was founded in 1851 so this plaque was erected 16 years too early to commemorate that event....
