Plaque

Sir George Shearing

Erection date: 22/11/2017

Inscription

Sir George Shearing OBE, 1919 - 2011, jazz pianist and composer.
The Battersea Society

Site: Sir George Shearing (1 memorial)

SW11, Bolingbroke Grove, 26, Northcote Road School

The school was formerly the Linden Lodge School for the Blind, which Shearing attended as a boy. The plaque is on a building far from the road, so our picture is therefore not as sharp as we would like.
