Samuel Pepys - EC4

Samuel Pepys - EC4 Samuel Pepys - EC4
Inscription

In a house on this site Samuel Pepys, diarist, was born, 1632 - 1703.
The Corporation of the City of London

Ralph Stephen draws our attention to the birth date on this plaque, 1632,  when Pepys was actually born 23 February 1633.  He surmises that the error is due to someone forgetting to make the correction necessary after 1753 when the start of the year was moved from March to January.
