Erection date: 24/5/1936

Inscription

Unveiled by Mrs A. Davis, Empire Day Silver Jubilee, 1936.

Site: Lady Workers' Homes - memorial pond (4 memorials)

N6, Makepeace Avenue

These 4 stones are evenly spaced on the horizontal surface of the rim of the pond. We have numbered them clockwise, starting at the west.

For more about the Holly Lodge estate and Baroness Coutts see Holly Lodge.

Since visiting we have read that the figure at the centre of the pond (a lady reading) has two left feet. We'll have to go back and check that out.
