Site: James Boswell - W1 (1 memorial)

W1, Great Portland Street, 122

There had been a plaque to Boswell on a house in which he lived in Great Queen Street but when that was demolished in 1914 there were no houses left standing in London in which Boswell had actually lived.  In December 1935 a Mr. George Prime renewed a previous suggestion of a plaque at 122 Great Portland Street, on the site of a house in which Boswell had lived.
