Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria - Teddington

Inscription

[Carved into the granite above the water spout:}
Presented by 600 inhabitants of Teddington as a memento of the Jubilee of 1887.

[On a modern plaque attached to another face:}
Restored by the residents of Teddington, as a memento of the Jubilee of 2002.

The new plaque (not shown) is rather brash but we like how the wording refers back to the earlier inscription.
