We have visited this area many times, but only recently noticed this well-hidden little plaque.
Although not actually named, this lonely, vandalised stone is all that remains of the theatre.
Drowned in the 1898 HMS Albion disaster, aged 23. Buried in grave 3 at the memorial in East London Cemetery.
