Epping Forest

Erection date: 26/11/2003

Inscription

Carpinus betulus 'Frans Fontaine'
26th November 2003
Planted by the Lord Mayor of London, Robert Finch and Sue Roe, OBE, Chairman of the Tree Council, commemorating 125th anniversary of Epping Forest Act 1878 and 30th anniversary of National Tree Planting Year (Plant a Tree in '73)

The photograph we have found for Sue Roe and Robert Finch just happens to be of them at this site planting this tree. Are we good to you or what?

Site: Epping Forest Act (1 memorial)

EC2, Aldermanbury

The tree in question is not the twisty one in the foreground but one to its right and further back, and barely visible - it being a deciduous tree and this being a winter visit.
