Plaque

Edwin Sloper

Inscription

{A laurel wreath surrounding the entwined letters: E.W.S.}
This tablet has been placed here by the Alexandra Park Trustees as a tribute to the memory of their colleague Edwin Willmott Sloper, trustee from 1902 and Honorary Manager from June 1910 until his death in March 1921.
His civic spirit was unique, and inspired him to devote, ungrudgingly, a great part of his leisure to the affairs of the Palace and Park with conspicuous ability and success.
