In grateful memory of Alderman Charles Fisher Yates JP, an ardent worker for and benefactor of the West Hackney Almshouses, who passed away on the 2nd February 1945.
This memorial is from Commercial Motor Users of Hackney who have established a fund, the income of which is to be distributed to the residents of the almshouses annually, to perpetuate the memory of a very dear friend.
