Christopher Columbus, 1446 - 1506, this statue, the generous gift of the people of Spain, is dedicated to all the peoples of the Americas in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the encounter of the two worlds.

2021: A petition has been launched for the removal of this statue.

SW1, Belgrave Square

Given by Spain to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Columbus' 1492 expedition. The Spanish Embassy's cultural section is at 24 Belgrave Square.

2021: the statue was vandalised in October and come December it seems it had still not been restored and properly protected.
