The image of this plaque has, incorrectly, been taken to represent the first 'blue plaque' erected to Lord Byron in Holles Street.

Byron lodged on the first floor of this 17th century house February 1813 - March 1814. It was, along with the adjacent No.5 and the Blue Posts public house, damaged or destroyed in the 1939-1945 war. The site was redeveloped in the late 1950s. The Blue Posts was rebuilt in 1956 and again in 2015.
