Guglielmo Marconi, 1874 - 1937, the pioneer of wireless communication, lived here in 1896 - 1897. London County Council
Marie Taglioni, 1809 - 1884, ballet dancer, lived here in 1875 - 1876. London County Council
Greater London Council Phil May, 1864 - 1903, artist, lived and worked here.
Riverbank House by David Walker Architects was completed in 2011.
Previously installed on blue tiles in the old station, this plaque was re-erected here, at the entrance to the new station, in August 2012.
"The munificence of his benefactions" - we just don't write plaques like that anymore.
Jenny Agutter who played Roberta 'Bobbie' Waterbury in the 1970 film of The Railway Children, took part in the unveiling of the plaque.
