This memorial was erected within the precinct of the former Wimpole Street Post Office circa 1920. It was relocated to Rathbone Place in 1981 and then to this site in 2013.

Site: Western Postal District war memorial - Mount Pleasant (1 memorial)

EC1, Rosebery Avenue, Mount Pleasant Sorting Office

The Post Office relocated the Western Postal District war memorial in 2013 as they had closed down the Rathbone Place premises. The memorial is now attached to their Mount Pleasant Sorting Office together with a plaque detailing its peregrinations.

We've left our page showing the memorial at its last location and that's the place to go to see the inscription and the list of names.
