Rotary International

An international organisation with the purpose of bringing together business and professional people, to provide humanitarian service, goodwill and peace around the world. It was formed in Chicago by Paul P. Harris, Gustave Loehr, Sylvester Schiele and Hiram E. Shorey. It was called 'rotary', as meetings took place in rotation at members' places of business.
