Peter Osgood

Footballer. Born Peter Leslie Osgood at 26 East Crescent, Clewer Without, near Windsor. Made his footballing debut as a seventeen year old junior. Played mainly for Chelsea Football Club, with spells at Southampton and Norwich. He was one of only nine players to score in every round of the F.A. cup. Died at Wexham Park Hospital after collapsing at a family funeral. His ashes were buried under the penalty spot at the 'Shed End' of Stamford Bridge football ground.
