Comedy actor. Born James Arthur Thomas Marsh in Sheffield to a couple of music-hall entertainers. When Jimmy's successful double act became old fashioned he restarted his career in television in the show with Hylda Baker 'Nearest and Dearest' and others. He also returned to theatre as a comic actor. Died at home, 96 Troy Court, Kensington High Street.
