Born Hampstead, son of Geoffrey. Worked as a chartered accountant, a partner in the family firm of Annan Dexter & Co. in the City. Councillor in Twickenham from 1947 and mayor 1959 - 1960. President of the Teddington Division of St John's Brigade and supported the arts locally. Died Teddington.
