Diana Mitford

Also known at various times as Diana Guinness and Lady Mosley. An aristocrat, fascist, writer and editor. She was one of the 6 Mitford sisters: Nancy (1904–73), Pamela "Pam" (1907–94),  Diana, Unity Valkyrie "Bobo", Boud" (1914–48), Jessica Lucy "Decca" (1917–96), Deborah Vivien "Debo" (1920–2014).

A beautiful Bright Young Thing in her youth, in 1929 she married aristocrat and writer Bryan Guinness, 2nd Baron Moyne. 1933 she left him for Oswald Mosley whom she married in 1936 with Hitler as guest of honour. Due to their involvement with fascist political causes they were interned in Holloway Prison, May 1940 - November 1943. Had two sons, Alexander and Max Mosley. 

After the war the couple settled permanently in France, neighbours to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, with whom they became close friends.

She published diaries and other autobiographical writings.
