Julian Kent Tremain

Julian Kent Tremain was born on 30 September 1960 in Pittsburgh, County Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA, the son of Gordon Hoyland Tremain (1942-2006) and Monica Anne Tremain née Sones (1940-2011).

He died, aged 28 years, on 20 August 1989, a victim of the Marchioness tragedy.

He had been living with Rachel Elizabeth Rackow according to the IMS Vintage Photos website and they intended to get married. According to the East Dulwich forum website they had a joint funeral in the chapel at Dulwich Village.

Probate records confirm that they were both residing at 2 Ripon House, Manor Fields, London, SW15 and that when administration of his estate was granted on 19 October 1989 his effects did not exceed £100,000. His death was registered in June 1990 in the London City Registration District, Greater London.

He is shown as 'JULIAN TREMAIN' on both the tablet at the Marchioness Remembrance Memorial at Southwark Cathedral and on the plaque attached to a tree opposite 8 Red Post Hill, London, SE21.
