Failed to enter parliament 3 times, on one occasion running his campaign from prison in Ireland. Distantly related to Anthony Blunt, the spy. Died Southwater, Sussex.

2025: We had published that Wilfrid was grand-uncle to Anthony Blunt, the spy. We are grateful to Diane Darcy who wrote to correct this, telling us that "they would have been 4th cousins". Diane also supplied the nodes on the tree connecting them.
