John Inman

Actor. Born Frederick John Inman in Preston Lancashire. He made his stage debut at the age of 13. First appeared on television in the 1960s and achieved fame at home and eventually worldwide as the camp Mr Humphries in the television series 'Are You Being Served?' alongside Wendy Richard. He also appeared as dame in more than 40 pantomimes. Died at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington.
