India House - in India

Erection date: /12/2010

This town is the birthplace of Shyamji Krishna Varma, who founded India House.

Site: India House - in India (1 memorial)

India, W, India, Gujarat, Kutch, Mandvi, Kutch

This is a life-size replica of the original India House in Highgate. It may seem like a miniature but look closely, there's someone at the door. Created as a memorial to the original house and the organisation that operated from that building in the early 1900s. Not having found the time to visit India to take our own we are indebted to Deshgujarat for both our pictures. Much more information at Kranti Teerth and NDTV.
