Bethnal Green Housing Association - Brent House

Erection date: 1932

Inscription

{At the top:}
Brent House 1932

{At the bottom:}
The Bethnal Green and East London Housing Association Ltd

The halo and the baby would suggest the woman represented is the Virgin Mary but she may also represent the less revered mothers who were looked after here by the Salvation Army.

Site: Bethnal Green Housing Association - Brent House (1 memorial)

E9, Brenthouse Road, Brent House

The plaque is on the end wall of the wing over to the left of our photo so not visible. But these gates were so attractive we chose to show them instead. Below the "1931" we can see sailing ships on a rough sea, can you?
