National Railway Heritage Awards, www.nrha.org.uk
The London Underground Operational Enhancement Award, awarded to Network Rail for London Bridge Station, presented by HRH The Princess Royal.
4th December 2019

Princess Anne is mentioned on the plaque but we suspect she did not actually visit this rather dismal and utilitarian corner of the station. The National Railway Heritage Awards have a photo of 3 men at the unveiling here on 4 February 2020, with not a princess to be seen. She probably did the honours at one of those easel unveilings, in a nice boardroom, probably at the top of the Shard.
