Roland David Amadeus Wynne

Categories: Friend / family

Son of Sir David Wynne. View from the Mirror tells us "The boy featured in the artwork was modelled upon ... (Roly for short) who 11 years old at the time and later went on to play bass in a rock band known as Ozric Tentacles. Tragically, in 1999 at the age of 35, Roly committed suicide."

Formed in 1983, Roly and his brother Ed were founding members of the Ozrics and Ed is still (2016) with the band. There is also a "Brandi Wynne".

We cannot find a picture of Roly. We've chosen a photo of the band that looks like an early one so we believe Roly is in there somewhere.

2019: John Ford contacted us via Facebook: “I believe Roly and Ed are sitting on the stone at the top, Roly on the right of the picture. Great bass player, RIP.”
