You can find all the subjects (people, events, etc.) that have a particular text string in their name. The search is done on the whole word, so a search on ben will find Ben Kingsley but not Benny Green.
If you like you can use the wild cards, * and ?. So to find both Ben Kingsley and Benny Green search on ben*. A search on b?n* would also find Sir Joseph Banks.
Do not use accents (é, ç, etc) or worry about capitals. e.g. to find François search on francois.
You can select one of the Categories from the drop-down list and see all the subjects that fall into that Category, either their pictures, or a list of names.
You can select one of the Countries from the drop-down list and see all the subjects that are associated with that Country, either their pictures, or a list of names.
Note: this is not an attempt to assign nationalities, only to recognise important connections. England and Britain do not appear on the list since having a memorial in London automatically implies a connection.
Select one of the post codes in the drop-down list and see a map or a list of all the memorial sites in that postal district.
Here you can find all the people (events, etc.) who were born or died 100 years ago. Or enter your own parameters, e.g. 50 years away from the year 1911.
