Andrew Behan has kindly carried out some research on this man:
Sailmaker George Thomas H. Brooks.   Born 1892 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, the son of Thomas H. and Mary A. Brooks. His father was a Barge Waterman and March 1901 the family were living at 4 Albert Road, Prittlewell, Southend-on-Sea. In April 1911 he was serving on board H.M.S. Inflexible as an Ordinary Seaman. In January 1936 he was appointed as a Postman in the London Postal Service. He rejoined the Royal Navy, service number C/J5873, and died on the 13th August 1943, aged 51 years whilst serving at H.M.S. Pembroke, a shore based establishment in Chatham, Kent. He is buried in Naval Reservation Grave 1495 in the Gillingham (Woodlands) Cemetery, Kent. He was survived by his widow Agnes Jean Brooks of Harrow, Middlesex.
