Goon. Born as Terence Alan Milligan near Bombay, India, his father being an Irish soldier who met his wife, Florence Winifred Kettleband, in India. Both parents were amateur, would-be professional, entertainers. The picture source website gives a good summary of this very funny man's career. Died at home in Sussex. Buried at Winchelsea, his headstone, at his behest, is inscribed: 'I told them I was ill', in Gaelic.

First President of the Finchley Society. At the statue unveiling the Chair of that Society was quoted: "He didn't just say 'use my name'. He actually came to committee meetings, and he took it very seriously. He wasn't a Goon all of the time."

He also, twice, got the Elfin Oak restored.
