Salter was auditor to the Vestry of St Pancras and gave College Gardens to the Vestry in his will. From the estate agent, Salter Rex's website: Salter Rex was founded in 1854 by Joseph Salter. He set up the practice at what is now 311 Kentish Town Road at the early age of twenty.
