1851 - 60, Charles Dickens, novelist, lived in Tavistock House near this site.

Getty has a photo of the unveiling, captioned "A plaque is unveiled at the British Medical Association in Tavistock Square, London, to commemorate the fact that novelist Charles Dickens lived at nearby Tavistock House from 1851 to 1860, 1st May 1967. Attending the ceremony are Eric Dickens Hawksley (left), President of the Dickens Fellowship and a great-grandson of the novelist, and Dr Hamid Ali Khan (right), President of the BMA."
