The plaque was stolen some years ago. In 1994 (300th birthday) the Voltaire Foundation got it put back.

The building is inscribed with the name "Vaudeville Theatre". It is now, 2013, used by the Hungarian Cultural Centre.

In our photo the plaque can be seen on the first floor, above the taxi.
At Bostock.net we found the coat of arms for Geoffrey Rowley Bostock (1880 - 1961), the same as the one on this plaque.
The building is dated 1893 and presumably was named after Blackfriars Priory even though that was on the other side of the river.
