In the fifteenth century this was the Horn tavern. In the early seventeenth century the hotel was popular with the legal community. A new building was erected in 1880 and probably that was the one demolished in 1939, when the Hotel seems to have ceased business. It seems to have been a very popular venue for clubs to meet and to form new ones.
