Site: Gladstone at Carlton House Terrace (1 memorial)

SW1, Carlton House Terrace, 11

2015: The histories of nos 10 and 11, now occupied by the British Academy, are covered by an excellent Londonist post. There we learn that the columns on the portico of the National Gallery came from Carlton House, which used to occupy this site, demolished by George IV to make way for the Regent Street area redesign.
