We thank our colleague, Alan Patient, for the photos of the plaque.

April 2020: Immediately after publishing this we were contacted by Sharron Liddle, one of the organisers for the plaque. She told us that, following discussions between the fans, the plaque was changed a few months ago, removing the phrase “King of Hearts” from the bottom. We have replaced our photo with the one Sharron sent. She also told us that “the garden across the road, the Phoenix Garden, hosts a plaque in David’s memory inscribed ‘Dreams, Wishes and Happy Trails’ placed in August 2019.” Thanks, Sharron.
