A centre for theatre, poetry, film, happenings and arts of all kinds. Originally founded by Jim Haynes at 182 Drury Lane, it was influential in inspiring many similar centres in the UK and Europe. David Bowie founded a branch in the Three Tuns Public House, in Beckenham; the photograph shows him performing there.
