Writer/humorist. born Guildford, educated at Dulwich College. Produced about 100 books, creating Jeeves, Wooster and Lord Emsworth.  He has been criticized for broadcasting from Berlin where he was interned during WW2. Files recently released by MI5 show that he was not a Nazi collaborator, just rather naive. 

Became an American citizen in 1955.
