Puppeteer, filmmaker and screenwriter. Born James Maury Henson in Greenville, Mississippi. He worked on the television series 'Sesame Street', before creating the 'Muppet Show' and 'Fraggle Rock'. In the 'Muppet Show' he voiced Kermit the Frog, Rowlf the Dog and Ernie. He also directed the films 'The Dark Crystal', and 'Labyrinth'. Died New York City.
