Site: Edward I and Edward VII (2 memorials)

WC1, High Holborn, 114 - 115, Kingsgate House

These 2 kings sit precariously outside the 7th floor dangling their feet over the traffic. Despite being substantially bigger than life-size they are very difficult to spot and are little known. We have Speel to thank for drawing them to our attention.

The building is inscribed "1903" and "E.H.K.F.C." although the sequence of the letters is not certain and their meaning unknown to us.

Ornamental Passions has some good photos and points out that this building is part of the Baptist Union complex.
